The Quote of the Day (1/8/12) by Marianne Williamson is a call to action:
“A miracle worker is not geared toward fighting the world that is,
but toward creating the world that could be.”
We can all become miracle workers if we are willing to envision the world as we’d like it to be. And, keeping our eye on the prize, be willing to work toward achieving that vision.
Granted, it is sometimes difficult to imagine a harmonious world that works for all; a world where everyone is appreciated and their unique gifts are honored. Yet, if we all make the effort to focus on such a world and work toward achieving it instead of getting angry and caught up in fighting against the perceived evil in the world, I truly believe that we could co-create a beautiful, peaceful planet.
Whatever we focus on expands. So focusing on anger will create more anger. Focusing on fear will create more fear. Focusing on hate, will create more hate. I challenge each of you to try a two-week experiment. Instead of listening to the news, read a spiritual book or listen to positive programming on the radio or television. Then notice how you feel at the end of the two weeks. Do you have more energy? Do you feel more positive about life? Are you calmer? Do you feel more centered and balanced? My guess is that you will notice a positive shift in many areas of your life.
I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to post your remarks on this blog.
