Quote of the Day
Often while traveling with a camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only time enough to expose our hearts.
~ Minor White, photographer (1808-1976)

It was 20 years ago on this date that Victor and I officially became a couple when he moved in to share my home with me. Then, one year later on this date, he was by my side as I underwent … Continue reading
This two-step process can be used to clear yourself of energy that is not yours. I use it after a session with a client so that I am clear for my next client. I use it whenever I’ve been in a large gathering, whenever I feel an emotion that seems to come “out of the blue” or whenever I feel tired for no apparent reason.
The purpose of the process is to get yourself back into your own energy. Anyone who works with the public (i.e., a bartender, a hair stylist, a receptionist, a teacher, a banker, a retail clerk, a cashier, a nurse, a doctor, a therapist, a healer, etc.) naturally takes on energy from others. It is, therefore, important to have an easy and effective way to clear out energy that is not your own. This is a very simple process that takes just seconds to do.
Step 1: Close your eyes and visualize a rainbow-colored shaft of light coming out of the sky into the top of your head. Now, in your mind’s eye, see that rainbow light spreading throughout your body, filling every cell with rainbow light. Feel it filling your head and moving down through your neck and shoulders, down your arms and out your finger tips. Feel it filling your chest, stomach and abdomen and all your internal organs. Feel it moving down into your hips, legs and feet until rainbow light is coming out of your toes. Your whole body is now radiating rainbow light. See it! Feel it! (This may take a minute or two in the beginning to visualize, but as your body gets acquainted with the process, soon it will take only a few seconds to fill yourself with rainbow light.)
Step 2: Choose for yourself a symbol of safety and protection – a safety shield – and surround yourself with it. Your shield can be anything – a powerful animal, an angel, a geometrical shape such as a pyramid or a sphere – any symbol that represents to you safety and protection.
See yourself inside your symbol – it is all around you. With your shield in place, you are now protected from taking on energy that is not yours.

This technique came to me by way of a book literally falling off a shelf back in 1991 (Instant ESP) and I have used it more often than any other to cure ailments that are affecting my body. The process … Continue reading
Years ago when my children were young I read in Prevention Magazine that bacteria couldn’t grow in honey. When one of my children developed a severe case of diaper rash and no store bought or prescription ointment helped heal it, … Continue reading
I scheduled an appointment with my doctor on March 11 because of an intestinal virus I had been struggling with for over 3 weeks. By appointment time, I finally felt that I was over the virus, but I told her … Continue reading
Found this delightful graphic by Karen Salmansohn on her Positively Positive website and thought it would be a good topic to explore. (NOTE: You can click on the graphic to enlarge it and see the sparkling animation.) It made me … Continue reading
I come from a family of huggers, especially on my mom’s side. From my earliest memories, whenever we went to visit relatives and close friends everyone gave and received big hugs. It just seemed the natural “thing to do” when … Continue reading
Today’s quote really spoke to me in a powerful way. Each time you judge yourself, you break your own heart. ~ Swami Kripalvanandji (1913-1961) I’ve been teaching people the importance of loving themselves for over 20 years, and know that … Continue reading
It’s interesting how certain dates stick in your mind even years after the event. The date of December 6, 1992 was a turning point for me. On that evening I attended a lecture at Unity Center in Walnut Creek, CA … Continue reading
